Many businesses establish an Internet presence, but do not SEO the site and then hope that people will find it. This is not reality. In order for people to find your site you need to either learn how to SEO your own site or hire a professional to SEO your site.
The next question is what search engines do you focus on? The top three search engines are Google, MSN and Yahoo. To have a successful SEO campaign you need to start by optimizing your site for the top three. This can take about three months to position your web site in the top 10. But, according to most SEO experts optimization for Google has changed. Google puts more weight on links than most other search engines. Plus, they store a cookie in your browser which keeps track of what sites you go to. Then the next time you go to Google and type in the same keyword Google will first display listings from sites you have visited, before it displays organic listings. For an SEO expert it is easier to rank a site in an organic listing, than based on what you have previously visited. Because of this change in the Google algorithm SEO has become more complex, and if you want to get your site listed in Google and be in the TOP 10 then I suggest that you work on your Google listing now, or you may not be able to achieve a top Google listing for those who have already searched for your keyword. The Google control panel allows for a Google user to opt to only view an organic search, but by default the search is based on previously visited web sites.
Even though Google has changed the way it indexes sites, Yahoo and MSN still position sites based on an organic search.

I am making myself some spaghetti for dinner while I type my blog. Sometimes it is all about the food. I know this has nothing to do with Internet Marketing, but im hungry.
This weekend we decided to hire 2 new sales people, maybe 3. So now we have to hire some highly motivated sales people to help us find customers and land deals online. Having a really successful online business is more than just putting up a web site and submitting your site to the search engines. It is about the various ways that you can make money online and how you cand find your customers. Wouldn't it be better if your customers found you?
I spent a couple hours not to long ago looking for the next customer. Within several days I was in contact with multiple companies that either sent a check or paid using pay-pal.
Today there are many high traffic web sites where you can network with thousands of people. Why not use sites like MySpace and linkedin to make money. Many fortune 500 companies are establishing myspace and linkedin pages to increase their internet presence. If the big boys are stepping up to bat, so should you and me.
I have a dream about sitting on a beach in the bahamas running a large international company. Maybe my dream will come true. I work from home now, why not the beach? I wonder if my cell would get reception on the beach in the bahamas. Id just get a T-Mobile wireless card for the laptop.

It used to be that all search engines displayed to you a true variety of all the secrets of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). A user would do a search one day, then do the same search another day, getting two different results. This is changing. Beecuase of this, SEO is changing.
Now Google stores a cookie in your browser and displays results from previous searches in your search results, including site you have visited. This is why it is important to seek the expertise and or services of a professional if you want to construct a serious SEO campaign for your business.
I'd like to take a minute and tell you about me and my background in IT, IS and Internet business.
In 1998 I was 22 and was anxious to start a new Internet Business. After all, the Internet was the wave of the future. I founded a web hosting and development company. We owned our own servers and routers and specialized in web hosting, web design and Internet marketing. We hired highly skilled programmers and web developers and did business globally. I sold the company in 2001. I thought I would just get a really good job administering someones UNIX servers, but got told I didn't have a degree and needed one. They wanted that plus experience.
Because of my lack of a college degree I decided to get one. I now have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University and a Masters in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. This year, 2008 - 2009, I expect to graduate with a Masters in Project Management.
Throughout my entire education I have focused my studies at various aspects of the Internet as well effective Internet Marketing. Lets say, a client comes up to me and says, "I want to get myself some hits for my web site." I would say, "I can deliver 100,000 hits to your site in the next 90 days, lets find out what you need." My company AAGT Hosting would customize a package and boost your web sites sales.
